Bolgheri
Tenuta Argentiera is located off the charming coast of the Alta Maremma, about 100km south-west of Florence. In the internationally acclaimed and prestigious DOC Bolgheri region. Historically, the mineral rich area was mined for silver hence the name “Argentiera” which derives from the latin word “Argentum”. The 75 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah have the highest altitude in the enitire Bolgheri DOC and are the closest to the sea. No expense is spared in producing the internationally acclaimed reds, typically referred to as “Super Tuscans”.
