Located on the boundary with Margaux, the Chateau Villegeorge vineyard covers 12 ha and has been producing wines since the 18th century. Purchased by Lucien Lurton in 1973, who bequeathed it to his daughter Marie Laure, who has been the winemaker since 1986. Building on the quality afforded to the wines by the well sited vineyards deep gravel soils, the cellars have seen significant investment in recent years. The winery has been recognized and certified as environmentally friendly by Terra Vitis since 2003.
