Established in 1973 by Will Nairn when at age 40, he stopped farming lucerne at his Baldivis property and made the
risky decision to plant a vineyard. He has never looked back! The estate is now into its 35th vintage and has no peer
in the region with its specialities – Shiraz, Wood Matured Chenin Blanc and Zinfandel.

The Peel wine region is very large and extends from Rockingham to south of Mandurah and to the Darling Scarp east
through to the shire of Waroona. The soils around the area range from limestone sands through to granite clays. Peel
Estate is located in the limestone sands area and it is here where a number of grape varieties thrive. As well as those
mentioned above, Verdelho and Cabernet Sauvignon make outstanding wines. For a point of difference, Will has Portuguese
red varieties planted for a vintage fortified wine, plus two sparkling wines – one of Chenin, reminiscent of the Vouvray’s of
the Loire Valley and a Sparkling Shiraz.

Will Nairn has been the recipient of the Di Cullen Award at the Wine Industry Awards in 2006 and the Jack Mann
